George Clooney, Brad Pitt Battle over ‘Fair Lady’

‘Gorgeous’ George Clooney vs. Hunky Brad Pitt are in a fight for the role of Henry Higgens in ‘My Fair Lady’. The two Hollywood A-Listers are good friends, but when it comes to plum parts, friendship takes a backseat.

According to OK! Magazine, George Clooney said: “We both badly want a particular role and neither is backing down… It’s sort of become an intense competition between us now and it just keeps escalating.”

George Clooney has also nixed rumors that he would return for a cameo in final season of ER - the emergency room drama that launched his A-list career.

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt continues to save the world, most recently rescuing a fan who was about to fall into a lake in Venice, Italy. According to MTV UK, Brad Pitt “was attending the Venice Film Festival, and agreed to sign autographs for a group of young fans, when one of them failed to cope with the excitement and slipped and fell into the lake.” He quickly cast aside the autographs and grabbed the fan - once all was well again in Venice, Brad Pitt finished signing autographs.

American Idol David Cook Drops “Lights On”

Scruffy Idol David Cook is set to drop his first single “Lights On” this week. The song will be available on iTunes September 30th. Surprisingly, “Lights On” was co-written by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden fame.

The producer on the album is Rob Cavallo, who has taken Kid Rock and Green Day among others to worldwide acclaim. Mr. Cook’s album is set to drop November 18th.

Despite all the big names, the song better be good. You only get 15 minutes of fame, and this single is Mr. Cook’s big break. Let’s hope the chill boy from Blue Springs, Montana make the most of it..
